Alblas, Gerrit ~ Born on September 22nd, 1917 in Ameide A/D Lek Holland ~ Passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2011 in Richmond, British Columbia with his family at his side. His loving wife, Jacoba Cornelia, passed away in 1990. Gerrit will be lovingly remembered by his sons and their wives, Arie & Frances, Bram & Alexis and Gerry & Linda. Fondly remembered by his 15 grandchildren and a great grand daughter. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC on Friday, December 23rd, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined, rather a donation in Gerrit’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
