Sorry to hear of Gibby's passing.  He was great friends with my mom Bonnie & Percy Reid who were his cousins.  I remember them well from Richmond and am his second cousin.  Bonnie passed in October so maybe they will see each other in another life. I have let his cousins Phyllis Ross and Lorraine Martin know of his passing.

Gibby, I enjoyed over 20 years of being your son in law.  I'll miss not having a Budweiser with you - Wayne xo

Uncle Gibby or Uncle Gimmy as my kids would say, we will miss you, we had great childhood memories!! Love you. Your daughter Vi and son in law Wayne, loved you very much, you will always be close to their hearts.

Gibby, I am so sorry I missed your memorial. I was too sick. I wrote this for you. Miss you sooooo much.

It was with great respect that I wrote this poem for a man 
who was truly adored by all.
WE were all the better for knowing you
That is something you would always say.
You consistently made us feel special
In your kind and ever charming way.
You would lend us magazines or books
You would write management letters of praise.
You would do anything it took
To brighten up each and every day.
You liked to go to the races
Whether it be Hastings or Fraser Downs.
The comaraderie there couldn't be beat
You would go from person to person, making your rounds.
You touched our lives with endless cheer
A memory for everyone you left behind.
You even brought treats for our dogs
Your endless considerations, very hard to find.
We will forever miss your cheery visits
Your jokes, your stories, your endless love.
I hope you know how much you were cherished
