Giovanna De Angelis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Nonna, Sister and Zia, Giovanna De Angelis.

She is predeceased by her husband, Luigi De Angelis; sweet infant son, Fredi; parents, Alfredo and Maria Palmeri; brother, Italo Palmeri and brother-in-law, Pasquale De Angelis.

Giovanna is survived by her loving family: her children Maurizio (Barbara), Nadia (Ed); grandchildren, Marco, Michael and Sarah; dear sister, Silvana; nieces, Paola, Daniela, Stefania along with their families; as well as her sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews both in Italy and France.

Giovanna was born in Capestrano, province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo, Italy on December 2, 1934 and passed away surrounded by the love and loyalty of her family on December 20, 2024.

Giovanna had a vibrant and social spirit and her greatest joy in life was being surrounded by the people she loved most- her family and friends.

Her children and grandchildren were her most cherished treasures.

We will forever miss her and love her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan St. Vancouver, at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby
