Giuseppe Amato

Giuseppe (Joe) Amato, born February 19, 1975 in Vancouver BC, suddenly passed away on March 01, 2024 at the age of 49 years old. He is survived by his two daughters Ava and Nella and their mother Claudia, father Guerino, sister Tania (Felice), nieces Julianna (Spencer), Claudia, nephew Daniel, aunts and uncles and many extended family and friends.

He was a very loving father and gave his daughters everything from his time, love and patience and fun adventures. Their time, joy and happiness together was always his priority.

Giuseppe was a proud member of the Italian & Canadian Rod and Gun Club and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and also long rides on his Harley.

He worked at Metro Vancouver for over two decades as a utility system operator level 3 crew lead. His unwavering commitment, exceptional skills and profound knowledge of the collection system made him an invaluable asset. He will be missed dearly.

He will now be reunited with his mother Anna and son Austin in a place of peace & freedom.

A prayer service for Giuseppe will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Our Lady Of Sorrows, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC V5K3X5. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM, from Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC V5K3X5. An entombment will occur Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM at Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4.
