Giuseppe Silveri

Giuseppe, a devoted father and hardworking man, born in Ofena, Aquila Italy on March 8th 1919 passed away peacefully at the age of 105 on June 19th, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and generosity. He is predeceased by his mother and father, two sisters and four brothers, his wife Santina, and daughter in law Concetta. Giuseppe will be lovingly and forever missed by his son Ernesto, daughter Anna Maria (Gino), his four grandsons, Pino (Christina), Louie (Tamara), Richard (Tanya), and David, and his great grandchildren; Amanda, Julia, Jessica, Enzo, Joseph, Lucia, and Luca, as well as his friends and family in Italy, Canada, and the US.

Having arrived in Canada in 1957 with little understanding of English, Giuseppe was determined to cultivate a better life for his family, a goal he accomplished with tireless dedication. He was known for his boundless generosity, often sharing the fruits of his labor, particularly his beloved tomato plants.

Giuseppe's friendly demeanor and ability to effortlessly make friends endeared him to all who knew him. Despite his accomplishments, he remained a humble man, valuing his family above all else.

In his passing, Giuseppe leaves behind a profound impact on those whose lives he touched, his memory forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

A Funeral Mass for Giuseppe will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM to at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Ave, Burnaby, BC. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial St, Burnaby, BC .
