Mr. Harry (Hal) Leonard Black

Hal passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his

residence in West Vancouver on June 14th, 2013. Hal was predeceased

by his wife Doris (1981), his sister Eleanor (2013), and his brother

Barney.

Hal is survived by his wife Carmen, his sons Robert (Linda) and Glen

(Elizabeth); grandchildren, Jon (Cherie), Bryan (Karrie), Jason

(Sonia), Megan (Paul), Kevin and Michael, as well as his very loved

great-grandchildren (Kristinn, Ryan, Emily, Sydney, Lauren, Jessica,

Ethan, Keira, and Logan). Hal is also survived by nephew Gerry

(Gwen). Rebecca and Philippe will always remember their "Pappy Hal".

The family would like to thank Carmel for the love and care she

provided.

Hal was employed for many years with Shell Canada and Whitespot,

holding various managerial positions.

A graveside inurnment will be taking place on Thursday, June 27 at

9:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in the Garden of Reflection,

3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby BC. Those wishing to attend the

service should meet at the main entrance of the Memorial Park at 8:45

am. Following the service, a reception in Hal’s honour will be held

in West Vancouver . In lieu of flowers donations to the Burnaby Hospital would be appreciated.
