Mr. Henry Patrick Deraedt

Henry was a kind and humble man. He was generous with his soul and asked for nothing in return. Henry spent most of his life in the East Vancouver home he was born in. He was regularly seen walking around his neighborhood and many of his neighbors were blessed with conversations with him as he did his daily rounds. Henry always had an infectious smile on his face and would have you grinning as he told stories about how the neighborhood had changed in his 90+ years living there. Generous to the end, Henry has donated the majority of his estate to a hot meal program for the hungry. We're going to miss you, Henry. You were a beautiful human being.

A Celebration of Life

Please join us as we celebrate Henry's life in the neighborhood he spent the majority of his years in.

When: Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, 6-8pm

Where: The backyard of 2829 Victoria Drive (at the top of the alley between East 12th and 13th Avenues)

Details: Food and beverages will be provided.

This will be an informal gathering. Feel free to stop off for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Share memories with your neighbors, or just browse the photos that will be displayed to learn more about Henry's life. A farewell toast for our old friend will be given at sunset.
