With great sadness, we announce the passing of Irene Yuen on February 28, 2014.
Irene was born and married in London, England, moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1964, and then to Canada in 1974, where she lived in Burnaby, BC for the past 40 years. Irene loved to travel, sew, and paint. She was a member of the Auxiliary to Burnaby Hospital and volunteered over 4,200 hours.
Irene is survived by her husband, Herman; her children, Sandie (Gordon), David, Lisa (Dana), and Justine (Brent); and her granddaughters Tamsin and Paige.
A funeral service will take place at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Chapel, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. A reception will immediately follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Burnaby Hospital Foundation are greatly appreciated.
