Irma Angelina Benedetti

October 24, 1930 - January 20, 2024

On January 20, 2024, Irma “Bebe” Benedetti passed away in Vancouver, a long four years after losing her adoring husband, Ramon Benedetti. Bebe lived her 93 years surrounded by longtime friends and a large, loving family. She was a devoted mother to her four children and fortunate to experience the great joy of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bebe was the youngest daughter of Luigia Genovese and Antonio Miotto, both of the Treviso Province in Italy. She is also predeceased by her brother Johnny, and sisters Annie and Evelyn (Lena). Bebe’s dedication to caring for her aging mother and mother-in-law showcased her loving and generous nature.

For over 50 years she could be found working behind the counter at Benny’s Market alongside Ramon. Throughout Bebe’s life she loved to entertain her friends,The Pals Club, and her family in her Vancouver rec room. She spent many enjoyable vacations in her home away from home, Palm Springs, where she was the life of the party. She loved going to the movies and watching football - Go Lions!

She is dearly missed by her four children; Janice, Ramon Jr. (Janet), Sandra (Steven) and Francesca (Scott) and her beautiful grandchildren; Rheis (Sarah), Chase (Ashley), Bianca (Mikael), Quinten, Carter and Nina. Nothing brought Bebe more joy in recent years than visiting with her great-grandchildren; Tia, Remi, Rio, Reimo and Giada.

Her family knows she is shining down on them, and will forever be reminding them to “put some slippers on” and wondering if they remembered “to put an undershirt on today?”.

Prayers will be offered at 7:00pm on January 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Parish, 525 Campbell Avenue, Vancouver BC, V6A 3K5, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on January 31, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Children’s Hospital due to her profound love of children.
