John DeVita

November 20, 1959 – January 20, 2024

It is with immense sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved John. He was predeceased in death by his loving parents Francesco and Bettina and his in-laws Irvano and Angiolina Moscone. He will be deeply missed by his wife Luciana, sister-in-law Antonella, brother Tony (Anna), Ray (Ingrid), niece Janet, nephews Frankie, Anthony and Joseph and a multitude of cherished family members and friends, both near and far.

A visionary entrepreneur, John established the esteemed CT Control Temp, a thriving Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company. Yet, amidst his professional triumphs, his true passion lay in his beloved deli, The Real Italian Deli, gracing the landscapes of Palm Desert and Palm Springs.

John was not just the most beautiful man, both inside and out, but he was also cherished by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His genuine kindness and respect for others were the cornerstone of his personal and professional life. John’s success was not just reassured by his accomplishments, but by the way he treated everyone with warmth and decency. He was not only the best friend but a beacon of light to all who knew him. As we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing that he is in a better place, watching over us with love and care. John’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

The measure of a life transcends mere years; it is defined by the profound impact we leave upon the lives of others. Rest in peace beautiful Angel.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Helens Parish on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. located at 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby, BC. Reception to follow at the Italian Cultural Centre, 3075 Slocan Street, Vancouver, BC.
