In loving memory of John David Innes, aged 72, who passed away at the Burnaby Hospital on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 after a number of years of ill health. He is predecessed by his mother Ella Innes, step father Wilbert Foster and half-brother David Innes. He is survived by his dear half-brothers in Ontario, Douglas Innes (Connie) of Sudbury, Kenneth Innes of Toronto; and half-sisters in Ontario, Susan Cooley (nee Innes) of Burlington, Linda Shank (nee Innes) of Sturgeon Falls, and Deborah Proulx (nee Innes) of Sturgeon Falls. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, friends and family. As a young man, John enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces stationed in Germany after which he worked as a musician (drummer) for a number of bands who toured Canada. He worked in sales and marketing, hospitality services and financial planning. He enjoyed adventure, people and loved animals and nature. His many years living on his boat included memorable voyages and stories. Appreciation and thanks are extended to the doctors and medical staff at Burnaby Hospital who treated and cared for John so well, and to the St. Michael's Centre staff and medical staff who lovingly cared and looked after John with fondness and attentiveness. A special thanks to Jim Houseman, Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel for his compassion and attention to details. As per the wishes of John, he was cremated and there was no visitation or funeral.
