It is with immense pain and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Gianni “LJ” Moscone (30) on October 18th. Gianni was born in Vancouver on Sept 3, 1994, to Cherie and Johnny Moscone. His white blonde curly head of hair made him look like an angel, but like any young boy, he loved to be mischievous with his older brother, Vince. Over the years, he became passionate about playing soccer, tennis, shooting pool with his friends and of course still being mischievous. To say Gianni had a sweet tooth is an understatement. He had an affinity for sour patch kids, skittles, and cinnamon buns in particular, but he didn’t discriminate against anything coated in sugar. While he had an active social life filled with many friends, he never once missed a family dinner. Gianni valued his family above all else. He was gentle, kind and sincere. A person you could ask a favour from and would pull through.
A small consolation in this tragedy, is that he is now reunited with his Mother, Cherie, who he adored and deeply missed since her recent passing.
Gianni’s devastating passing has left a void in the lives of all who loved him. Particularly by his Father Johnny, his Brother Vince (Lauren), his Grandmothers Norma and Giulietta, along with his aunts, uncles and cousins who he loved beyond words.
To honour Gianni’s memory, Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Helens Parish on Thursday, Oct 31st at 11:00 am. Followed by a Celebration of Life (location to be announced).
