Joseph passed away on October 11, 2011 at the age of 77 years. He is predeceased by his wife Margaret, son Kevin, brother Pio and sister Josephine. He is survived by his loving family; children Kathleen, Keith (Esther), Michael, and Jack; grandchildren Richard, Joseph, Ashlee, Rae-Anne, Nicolas, Jeremiah, Jonah, Daniel, and Emily; sisters Marion and Rose; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thank-you to Holly, the staff, and residents at Concord Retirement Residence for making him comfortable and welcome. Joe was a dedicated member of the ILWU Local 500 for 40 years. He was well known and loved by his fellow workers, whom he advocated for with passion and truth. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 2025 Napier St. Vancouver, BC.
