Soon after she was born the family moved to East Vancouver, first on Venables Street and then to East 20th Avenue.
She went to Notre Dame High School and started a career in Tourism where she had the opportunity to travel the globe. Europe, Japan, Russia, and the Caribbean.
In 1982 after a year travelling through Europe, she started a new adventure working for Club Med, a French group that manages resorts all over the world.
While in the Bahamas she met her husband, Patrick. After four years of a long-distance relationship, they married in Strasbourg France before settling in Vancouver.
Kathie had a very rewarding career as an OT where she cared for a variety of patients from Tetraplegics to teenagers with learning disabilities.
Sadly today, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, she leaves behind her loving husband Patrick and her three sons Nicolas, Julien, and Stephane that she was so proud of and loved as only she could.
Together we pulled our energies together to care for her in the comfort of her home.
A big warm hug to Saron, Aster and Yohana, her caregivers. A heartfelt thank you too to all the Vancouver Coastal Health Home Support workers.
