

Passed away peacefully at VGH of Kidney complications in the early morning hours of August 30, 2013. Ken was born on May 25, 1936 in Canton, China. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 and was truly a proud immigrant Canadian. In a few short years he entered a partnership in business. He started his own business in 1963. He then brought his whole family to Canada in 1964. In 1966, he proudly opened Ken’s Market in Vancouver. Later opening and founding Canada Florist in 1978. Today, it bears his legacy as the Consummate Business Man - a proud supporter of his neighbours and community. He retired in 2000 and could finally enjoy his vast accomplishments. He was a lifelong supporter of the Yue Shan Society of BC.
He was predeceased by his son, Tony in 2004. He is survived by his forever loving wife, Ngan To Soo (Chau); his three children, Philip, Douglas and Toya and their families which proudly include; 11 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild as well as Tony’s family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 12, 2013 at 12:00 pm in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honour of Ken to the Heart and Stroke or Kidney Foundation of BC
