Our beloved Kwong SIng Lum was born in Sun Wai, China on October 20, 1934 under the lunar calendar and passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 21, 2025 in Vancouver, BC. He was 91 years young.
“Dad” lived in Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong for a short while before coming to Vancouver in 1956. He first worked at the fish market in Chinatown before working at Weldwood sawmill in Port Moody for 30 years. In his retirement years, he spent his time taking care of our home as well as being an affectionate and fun loving grandpa. He was an amazing father and left us with a lifetime of wonderful memories to cherish.
Kwong SIng will be forever loved by his wife of 57 years, Kit Kwan Lum. He will be dearly missed by his children Leah, Ken and Vincent; daughter-in-law Beverly; grandchildren Christopher, Stephanie, Xyruz and Xabrina as well as his extended family and friends. Dad is predeceased by his father Wing Man Lam and his mother Fong Ng.
We wish to thank Dr. Peter Wong and his staff for the many years of care. We also like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Vancouver General Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby)
