My deepest condolences to your family. Laura was such an amazing person who was one of the first to walk into The Grove. She was my neighbour across the hall for over four years and we shared many laughs so many talks. She was also a wonderful nurse to my mom who was hospitalized during the pandemic and when family wasn’t allowed in the hospital. Laura was our lifeline during that time. She was such a shining light and support system to my mom and my family. Her and I had many talks and we shared many laughs through voice notes and offer each other support and laughs. I’ll never forget her. I am so deeply sorry on this immense loss to you and your family. She is greatly missed.

From daring eachother to tell a patient to 'pop a squat' in giggles at the front desk, going on long walks with Kobe and even longer rants together, cooking while watching the weirdest movies we always regretted picking (Poor Things, really?), to screaming at eachother (with love) over being too slow in a game of Overcooked...you were so much fun to be around. Always thoughtful and kind to patients, friends, and family (including your 4 little fur babies), you were such a light in my life since I moved to BC. I will always miss you. Friends forever.

I still remember the first time I saw you, such a smiley, happy teen with a bright future. 

It was an honor to witness you turn into a brilliant, beautiful young woman with a heart of gold. You could do anything you put your mind to. I was so proud of you when you graduated nursing school and began working in the health field. 

I will miss our conversations.  I will miss the way you could smile and make the room light up. I will miss the funny animal videos, the cheeky comments, the friendship.

But most of all, I will miss you, and I will keep your smile in my heart forever.

She was more than a friend, she was a light in difficult times, someone who cared for my cat when I couldn’t, and who welcomed me into Sophie’s life with kindness and warmth.
