With deep sadness we announce that Lillian Valach (nee Lawrence), 92, passed peacefully at on August 16, 2025. Born in Waskada, Manitoba on April 3rd, 1933, she is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Daisy, her sister Annie, brothers Herbert and Frank, and her husband of 59 years, Vincent (2019).
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Vance, daughter, Tanya (Jeffrey), grandchildren Sarah and Jeremy, brothers Charles (Eileen), William (Kathleen), Ernest (Patricia), nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear family friends. Lillian was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She had a heart of gold and was loved by all that knew her. She was a successful caterer for 30 years, and she maintained a close connection with everyone she worked with.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, B.C. at 10:00 am on Friday, August 29th, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the BC Cancer Foundation.
