Lorraine Marie Rushton

Mom is predeceased by her husband David in 1991, her grandson Kurtis in 2012, and her daughter-in-law Trisha in 2017.

She is survived by her sons Michael, Steven (Marianne), Peter, daughter Marie, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Mom had a great life filled with travel and friends and watching her kids play sports. She also devoted many hours to her volunteer work over the years.

Her biggest joy was being with her family whom she loved very dearly. She was a very caring, selfless person who always put others before herself. Mom had a very strong faith in God and it brought her peace to know she would go to a better place.

She had a great sense of humour up until the end.

She lived her life fully after our dad passed and said “no one can replace your father” and no one ever did. Mom joined seniors groups, travelled, did day trips to many many places, and never stopped until her mid 80’s.

She will be missed by many who knew her and all that loved her. May you and Dad continue to enjoy many days at the ballpark together. We love you.

A funeral service for Lorraine Marie will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J1A4.
