Lucia Di Pietrantonio

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Lucia, Nonna and Zia.

Lucia was born in Manoppello, Pescara, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1958, with her husband and two sons, Romeo and Antonio. After settling in Vancouver along came two daughters Maria and Luise.

Family meant everything to our beloved mother along with her devotion to her many lifelong friends. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband Candido, her parents Antonietta and Raphaele, brothers Giuseppe and Nicola, sister Maria and survived by her sister Teresa.

She will be deeply missed by all her grandchildren; Jennifer, Natalie, Melissa, Jeremy, Roberto, Shannon, Santina, Luci, Pino, Lucas and all her great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Our mother was passionate about playing bocci, bingo and volunteering at the Italian Centre, attending Italian banquets and travelling the world with friends. Our Mother’s idol was the queen and was so proud to share many similarities. She was over the moon when she received a letter from her majesty! Our mother was the Powerhouse of our family and the Queen of our Hearts. RIP mom and you will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral mass is Tuesday, March 19 at 11 a.m. St. Francis D’Assisi, 2025 Napier Street. Vancouver, BC
