August 19, 1928 ' January 25, 2011. Ruth passed into glory on January 25, 2011 at Vancouver General Hospital. Ruth is predeceased by her husband Jake, sister Elsa, and brother Oscar. She is survived by her son Lyle (Connie), grandson Jayson Nordheimer, and her daughter Sheryl (Chuck ).
Ruth led an active church life and loved to cook, bake and entertain family and friends.
She lived at the Broadway Pentecostal Lodge for the remaining years of her life and courageously fought many health issues, special thanks to the dialysis unit at VHG for their warm care and support and to Broadway Lodge for their care and love.
Ruth became 'Mom' to a special group of friends; her tenacious personality and love of life will be missed , she will be fondly remembered.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday Feb 1, 2011 2:30 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Those wishing to honour Ruth's memory are asked to make donations to the Canadian Bible Society.
