She was known by everyone in every facet of her life—family, close friends, co-workers, and childhood acquaintances—as the life of every event, the instigator of fun, the one who always brought the creative element to the party, and the one with the hardiest laugh. There are few people in this life that focus their energies on helping others, who bring out the best in us, and who always raise our spirits; Marcia was the Queen of that unique list, and everyone she touched was better off for knowing her. She was all of this wrapped up in a unique package of that Southern Charm (and accent) which she never lost.
Marcia is preceded in death by father Perry Basil Rogers, mother Kathryn Croft Rogers, and nephew Wilson Ely Rogers. She leaves an indelible legacy in the lives of husband Chi-Tong Chan, son Andrew Michael Chan, daughter Casey Erica Chan, son-in-law Daniel Nicholas Bowerman, granddaughter Rielynn Chan Bowerman, brother Christopher Andrew Rogers,sister-in-law Lisa Schaumann Rogers, niece Erika Grace Gonzalez and husband Anthony Frank Gonzalez, and nephew Perry Owen Rogers. The family is having a small private service in Burnaby, BC near their home. If anyone would like to make a donation in memory of Marcia, please consider Dixon Transition Society. This is a service to women suffering from abuse. Marcia volunteered there for several years https://dixonsociety.ca/
