

Marian and Ian were married in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on April 3rd, 1944 while Ian was serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. After WWII, Marian and Ian returned to Vancouver and Marian worked at Spencer’s Department Store (subsequently Eatons) while Ian attended UBC.
With the arrival of Greg and Brent, Marian decided to be a full time homemaker.
Marian stayed in touch with her family and friends throughout her life and everyone knew they were welcome when visiting Vancouver.
Marian lived for her family. The arrival of her grandchildren Matthew and Patrick meant so much to her that she insisted she and Ian move from Vancouver near UBC to West Vancouver to be as close as possible to “her Boys”.
Marian was a kind and gentle person who always had time for the people that crossed her path.
Marian was predeceased by her parents Ira and Gerti Moore, her brothers Jack, George and Carmen.
Survived by her sons Greg (Jane), Brent (Mary), grandsons Matt and Pat, sister-in-law Tina, nephews John (Leslie), Reg (Rita) and Ron. In California; sister-in-law Phyllis, nephew Bruce (Lynne), nieces Wendy (Kevin) an d Leslie (John). In Nova Scotia; nephew Ian (Deirdre), nieces, Deanne, Valerie, Jean and Jo-Anne.
The Service will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby BC) at 10:00 am on Friday, April 5th, 2013. Reception will take place at Ocean View Funeral Home following the Funeral Service. Family Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC) at 12:30pm.
