Martha Burchak

Passed away suddenly and peacefully at Holy Family Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Thomas. Survived by her loving sister Kay, niece Karen, nephews Arthur, Mark (Donna Smith), children Riley and Joshua, nephew Michael Burchak (Marylynne Stumpf), nieces Francie Bates (Gavin), Marla Greydanus (Jim). Also survived by nephew James Toogood (Cathy) and others. She was also survived by brother-in-law Douglas Lane Sr., nieces and nephew Bev Kinshella, Judy Lane and Doug Lane and many families and friends. Heartfelt Thanks are extended to Martha's longtime neighbours / friends Andy Butorac, Ken Cron, Wah Gee and Irma Pastro. To Mr. Mike Jukich longtime friend-thank you for your love, support and cherished photos. She will be deeply missed by her dear friend Elaine Yim and long time friend Rebecca Cheng and family. Kay and Karen would like to express their heartfelt Thanks and Prayers to Holy Family Hospital, neighbour 5 residents: to Cecilia, Jasmine and all the Care Aids and nurses for their care and support. A special thank you to friend Jack Trodden for his laughter, songs and stories and to Jack Wong for his special Prayers and Blessings. Visitation will be held at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, B.C. from 3:00 p.m. ' 4:30 p.m. on Monday November 21, 2011. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 21st at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 525 Slocan Street, Vancouver, B.C. where Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22nd. Father Peter Sordi and Father Richard Bezzegato celebrants. Interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. Special prayers to Father Peter Sordi for his long-time dedication.
