It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melinda (Mel) Ho. Born on August 17,1971 she passed suddenly on March 20,2025 at the age of 53. Mel is survived by her loving family. Mother Janet, brothers Perry and Vincent, sisters Ruby and Jenny, her loving partner Rich, along with many other family and friends. Known for her infectious personality, quick wit, fiery competitiveness and dogged determination, she will be missed by all who knew her. She was a loyal, trustworthy, and brutally honest to anyone whom she called a friend. Mel also had a kind, soft and gentle spirit that only a select few got to know. After playing volleyball with her brother Perry, she fell in love with the game of softball. Playing with friends before moving on to the Dragons and then the Dawgs, where she forged countless friendships along the way before retiring from the game. Her true passion however was the game of golf. Whether a Saturday morning driving range session, or an after work tee time, she always had or found the time to play.
Recipient of a double lung transplant, heart valve replacement and stroke survivor, she used that fiery competitiveness and endless perseverance throughout her rehabilitation process, with the dream of one day returning to the game she so loved. Sadly, it was not meant to be.
Rest in peace Mel, goober, Baby
