Mila Madunic

Our beloved mother passed away peacefully at home with her three daughters by her side. Mila was born in Cista Provo, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1965. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted daughters Josie, Sandy and Brenda. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years (Petar), her parents, brothers, sisters and two nephews. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends in Canada and Croatia.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially with her girls. She loved music, dancing, and going to the theatre. Her love of food made her a fantastic cook and baker. This made Teta Mila cookies famous throughout Vancouver. She had a strong faith and loved her Croatian culture.

A special thank you to Dr. Ramon Sales whose care and kindness over the last few years will never be forgotten.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, on Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 3105 East 1st. Ave. Vancouver, British Columbia.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation for Bladder Cancer Research.
