

On December 14, 2019, Nancy Fung of Surrey B.C. passed away peacefully at the age of 98. Nancy was born near Chinatown Vancouver where she grew up with her 5 sisters and 7 brothers. In 1947, Nancy married Sing Fung then moved to the farm in Surrey where she lived for most of her life. She had a busy life helping to manage the farm, running the household and raising five sons. She was known for her tasty home cooked meals and baking. “Try it you’ll like it, I made it myself!” Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Sing. Nancy will be forever remembered by her brother Johnny and sister Nellie, her 5 sons, Dennis (Betty), Larry, Steven (Maureen), Raymond (Louise) and Glenn (Janis). Nancy leaves behind grandchildren, Matthew (Corine), Noah (Kylie), Amanda (Skylar), Megan (Ryan), Janna, Natasha, Vanessa, Carmen, a great grandson, Caspian and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. Later in life, she was able to travel with family and look after her large garden. She spent her final days at Kinsmen Lodge and we thank her many caregivers, especially Simmie Cook and Julliet Jovellano.
Contact family for the Celebration of Life details to be held on December 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. There will be no funeral service but a graveside ceremony at 12:30 pm on December 27 down the hill from the Forest Lawn Chapel at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby.
