Nives, our beloved Mother, Sister, Nonna, and Zia, passed away at George Derby Centre on March 25, 2020 at 85 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband Natalino and son Emil. Nives will be dearly missed by her son Eric (Elaine), grandson Simone, brother Marino, and family in Italy. Nives mostly loved spending time in her garden and volunteering at her local church. She loved tending to her flowers and vegetables at home. On weekends, you would find her cooking with friends for many celebrations at the Italian Cultural Centre, Famee Furlane Hall and at church.
A special thank you to all the staff at the George Derby Centre and Seton Villa for their love and care as Nives battled dementia the last few years. We along with many family and friends in Canada, Italy and Croatia, will always love Nives and miss her dearly.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, a small private family service was held. The family will hold a special mass with a celebration of life at a later date.
