October 2, 1925 – October 8, 2025
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Pasquale Fabbiano, who passed away on October 8, 2025, in Richmond, British Columbia, at the remarkable age of 100.
Pasquale was born on October 2, 1925, in Lago, Cosenza, Italy, to Antonio and Maria Teresa Fabbiano. On October 7, 1951, he married the love of his life, Erminia, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion and family.
In his early years, Pasquale worked in Germany to support his growing family, saving diligently so that he and Erminia could bring their children to Canada in 1963. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed five children: Tony (Susanna), Luigi (Rose), Carlo, Joe, and Maria.
Pasquale is predeceased by his beloved wife Erminia and his sister Elisabetta. He is survived by his 5 children, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren all of whom were his greatest pride and joy.
Pasquale worked for many years with the City of North Vancouver, all while faithfully tending to his beloved farm in Richmond. His days were filled with hard work and purpose — caring for chickens, pigs, cows, goats, and rabbits, and cultivating a remarkable garden abundant with tomatoes, beans, lettuce, peppers, and of course, his blueberry bushes. His fruit trees—fig, cherry, peach, plum, and apple—were his treasures, and his homemade wine, sausages, capicollos, and sopressattas were delicacies cherished by family and friends alike.
A man of strong family values, hard work, and tradition, Pasquale lived a full and meaningful life centered on love, generosity, and devotion. At 100 years old, with his hands and heart finally at rest, he departed this world on his own terms—just as he wished—after celebrating his milestone birthday surrounded by family.
He is now reunited with his beloved Erminia and, at long last, embraced by the mother he never met. Riposa in pace, Papà. Until we are all together again. ❤️
