It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pietro De Bortoli. Pietro was born in Montebelluna Treviso on May 17th, 1928 and died in Vancouver, BC on August 28th, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Gaetana, 3 children; Diana (Tim), Annie (Mike) and Venicio (Lucy); and 6 grandchildren; Nicholas, Amanda (Greg), Peter, Curtis, Giovanni and Isabella. Pietro emigrated to Canada on July 1st, 1951 and married Gaetana on February 20th, 1954. He became a citizen of Canada February 20th, 1974. Pietro worked as a crane operator in the metal recycling business and retired in 1993. Pietro's greatest pleasure in life was his family and friends. He will be truly missed. Mass of Christian Burial to take place September 4th, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church, 525 Campbell Ave., Vancouver, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
