It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert. Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his sisters Patricia Hodge, Betty Petricia, Lynda Siggers, Rosanne Pazarena and Darlene Keeley, nieces Brooke Hodge and Clare Hodge, nephews Adam Hodge, Dustin Keeley, Ben Siggers, Danny Siggers and Jay Siggers. Robert was born in Salmon Arm, B.C. His early education was in a one room school and he completed high school by correspondence. Robert graduated in Forestry at the University of British Columbia where he graduated at the top of his class. He was awarded a fellowship to Yale University where he completed his Master's degree. Robert received his Doctorate from U.B.C. He was one of the Charter Professors at Simon University where he taught until his retirement. While retired, Robert compiled a very comprehensive family history, travelled in Europe, enjoyed bird watching and walks around Deer Lake. An informal celebration of Robert's life for colleagues, friends and family will be held at Eagle Creek (Burnaby Mountain Golf Course) on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to B.C.
