Ronald Herbert Wilson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Grandad on May 6, 2023, at Madison Care Centre in Coquitlam, B.C. after a long and valiant struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marlene, his son, Randie (Pearl), his grandson Michael (Jeanette), his granddaughter Lauren (Tom) Mazzetti, his sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson as well as many nieces and nephews and other relatives throughout Canada and the world. Ron was predeceased by his parents, William and Nellie and his brother, Alan.

Ron was a family man, and loved nothing more than being at home, tending to his garden and spending time with his family. He loved music, dancing, reading and watching TV, especially in his later years. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren both as children and then as young adults.

We will miss Ron dearly. Although our hearts are heavy with sadness, we find solace in the wonderful memories we all shared with him.

The family would like to thank all the doctors who helped Ron along his difficult journey and the nurses and care staff at the Madison Care Centre for the wonderfully kind and gentle care they gave Ron in the final year of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask donations be made in Ron’s memory to Parkinson Society BC or charity of your choice.

A private, family graveside service will be held on May 27, 2023.
