I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mrs. G a couple of times.  She had a heart of gold, and was a beautiful lady inside and out. Back in 1996, I was diagnosed with meningitis when I was 16.  Other than knowing my aunt, Eveline de la Giroday, she didn't know my family at all.  But still made a point of coming to wish me well, while I was in the hospital in Winnipeg.  I remember meeting her for the first time.  It was as if she had known us her whole life.  A gentle soul, a warm smile.  She will be missed.  Rest in peace Mrs. G. Mrs. Giroday was such a beautiful lady inside and out. I always said that meeting her was like meeting the queen. She was so calm and welcoming and made you feel like part of the family on your first meeting. After sending her a Christmas card and photo of my family, she sent me a thank you card for thinking of her. She truly was one of a kind. She will be missed by many.

I'll forever cherish the "Friday nights" Mom and I spent "watching "The Wheel of Fortune" with Vanna White and then of course( if it wasn't too late) - Bob Barker with Jeopardy!  She was always the first to guess CORRECTLY which words were coming up!  A GRAND LADY.....

Marie & Joan- I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing, I sure she will be greatly missed by you all.  Love to you both.

Sad to hear of Auntie Ruth's passing.  She was a kind and generous lady and will be missed by all.  I have such fond memories of spending summers on Tecumseh with all the Girodays.  Love to the whole family ~

It was with great sadness that we learned of dear Mrs. Giroday's passing. Our sincere condolences go to Gordon, Joan, Linda and Peter particularly and the whole family. She was a lovely lady who will be sorely missed.
