Ruth Christina Marshall

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss, that we announce the passing of Ruth Christina Marshall May 6, 2012; in her 92nd year; after a multitude of health issues, over the last 12 years.

Ruth Marshall spent the majority of her life taking care of her family, children and grandchildren.

Predeceased by her husband; George James S. Marshall (Big Jim) in 1986.

Ruth is survived by her (3) loving children; Terry (Lynne), Kim (Valerie) and Jill Marshall. Also her (4) beloved grandchildren; Kelly Marshall, Christine (Travis) Gray, Stephen Marshall and Robyn Marshall. As well as her (2) Great Grandchildren; Therese Eva and Damien Marshall Gray who made Ruth, “Great Nana” very happy. Ruth is also survived by her last remaining (out of 9) sibling; Fern Aldred; and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to express our gratitude to Mom’s long term personal physician; Dr. Duncan Miller. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Braddan Private Hospital for the consistent love and compassion they showed to Ruth.

A Funeral Service and Reception, to be held Friday May 18th 2012 at 1:30p.m. at Forest Lawn 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, B.C. V5G 3M1.

A celebration of Ruth’s life to be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 7249 Wiltshire Street, Vancouver, B.C. (604)266-4852. Family, friends and all are welcome.
