August 24th, 1934 – February 25th, 2023
Lorraine Lee Shau Ha Day, 88, passed away on February 25th. Lorraine was born in Hong Kong on August 24th, 1934. She was married to Johnny Day on June 6th, 1957. Johnny and Lorraine went on to have two children, Wynne and Michael. Lorraine had been working in accounting full time as well as taking care of the family until she immigrated to Canada with husband, Johnny and son, Michael in 1990. She had been taking care of Johnny 24/7 for more than 20 years after Johnny had Parkinson until he passed away in 2011.
She is a very low profile person. She can easily be contended. She lives a very simple life. She always considers others first. She always put her family in her first priority and takes full responsibility of her family. Even though she would seldom mention with others about her children and grandchildren, she is always proud of them and their successes.
In the past 10 years, she had regained her interest in singing by going to karaoke sessions in community centres. She made some good friends there, and enjoyed her past time with them. Also, she likes drawing. She had several art works posted on the wall at home for us to enjoy.
Visitations will take place at Ocean View funeral home (4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J 1A4) on Monday, March 6th, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Ocean View funeral home on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 10 a.m.
