Shirley’s story started as sixth of seven children of David and Frances Taylor. Born 93 years ago in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Shirley and her siblings, Leonora, Frank, Lillian, David, Harry, Ken settled into Vancouver in 1934. These childhood years in the challenging 1930s forged supportive family bonds and instilling a strong work ethic. With success in school, Shirley flourished in her work life with positions in business management.
Shirley was blessed by her three sons, Tim, Dan and Todd. Forever “Mama” to her boys, Shirley was a devoted loving mother - cherished by her boys. Aunt Shirley was truly loved by her sibling’s children - Leonora’s Noreen, Judy, Sharon - Frank’s Bob, Don, Jamie, Nancy - Lillian’s Shirley, Sandra - David’s Colleen, Melanie - Harry’s Tammy, Kirk - Ken’s Mitch, Susan, Debbie.
With love and admiration, her family of sons, nephews, nieces will hold high the memories of a mother and aunt so very special in caring and compassion. Her strong faith guided and sustained her through all challenges. “Deep Peace”
