Mrs. Shook Jing Leung

She was born on November 28, 1929 in Hong Kong, then moved to the city of Zhongshan, province of Quangdong, at an early age. She was the proud daughter of her parents Mr. Chan Ming and Mrs. Au Yeung Sui Mei. When she returned to Hong Kong, she met Mr. Leung Wang Fat and were married in 1948. They had a successful import export company in Hong Kong specialized in textiles.

They had 5 children - Cassandra Desbiens, Francita Lowe, Arthur Leung, Wilson Leung, and Tina Cheung.

She had 10 grandchildren- Geoff, Chris, Carolyn, Stephen, Maegan, Andrew, Mason, Candice, Nicole, and Kevin.

She also had 14 great grandchildren - Trevor, Brendan,Mckenzie, Hunter, Ashton, Nathan, Sarah, Duncan, Tyler, Wellington, Wyatt, Penny, Jake, and Arlo.

In 1969, the whole family immigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada. She was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Leung Wang Fat. She loved spending time with her family and always there for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her favourite past times were cooking and playing mahjong with her family and friends.

She was a dedicated member of Soka Gakkai Association. She was a very active member who had been deeply involved in various aspects of activities. She spent much of her time in chanting, reading and practicing Buddhism to the Gohozon promoting peace and happiness to all of us.

Visitation at Ocean View Burnaby BC on January 23, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

Funeral service to be held at Ocean View on January 24, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
