With deep sadness our 92 years old mother passed on peacefully September 5th, 2025 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her family, husband - Carlos Sr., their children - Normita, Carlos Jr., Eduardo, Eugenio, Laura, Liberty, Teresa and their spouses, with her grandchildren and their family.
Sylvia Lydia was born May 25th 1933, daughter of Quintin Sulit and Lapaz Capalad. Lydia - as she is often called by her family and friends in Canada and at her birth place was born a true hero to her family - especially to her children. Lydia lived her life journey with genuine kindness and true self sacrifice without conditions. She put her excellent reputation to help others without asking for any reciprocal obligations.
She is beloved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A perfectionist and loving in her nature with a forgiving heart. We will immensely miss her.
