Mr. Terry Wayne Bunke

Of Burnaby, British Columbia, sadly passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital on May 8th 2024. Terry was 71 years of age.

Predeceased by his father, Gerhard (Gerry) Bunke, mother, June Bunke (née Vay), and sister Kathleen (Kathy) Ellis (née Bunke).

Born in Vancouver April 12th 1953, Terry graduated from Burnaby Central Secondary in 1972. He went on to follow in his father’s footsteps, working in the dairy industry in British Columbia for the majority of his career. He began with Palm Dairy in December of 1974, and, working diligently through several mergers and acquisitions, retired from Earth’s Own Food Company in February of 2017.

He will be remembered as a kind, loving and selfless husband, father, brother, son and friend. With a natural talent and passion for computers and technology, he loved to work both on his own computer and help others with their computer needs. Terry loved to travel the world with his wife, Nancy, seamlessly making enduring friendships everywhere he went. His truest source of joy was spending time and making memories with his family and friends, whom he loved, and was loved by in return, like nothing else,

Survived by his loving wife, Nancy Stermer (née Schmidt) of Vancouver, British Columbia, whom he married in July of 2009, Terry will always be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Coriana Burke (nèe Bunke), son, Cole Bunke, and step daughters, Chantal and Kristy Stermer.

A service of remembrance for Terry will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 1st 2024, at Willingdon Church, 4812 Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
