Predeceased by her husband, Fidel, survived by sons Noel (Michelle), Joseph (Babita), Dindo, daughters Melanie (Terry), Arabella, Cynthia (Conrad), grandchildren Jordan, Coleton, Terrell, Janelle, Nicholas and Brooke.
Thelma was born in Bago, Philippines and immigrated to Canada with Fidel and their children in 1975. She tirelessly raised six children working as a nurse's aide, holding two and at times, three jobs simultaneously. Thelma selflessly made many sacrifices to provide as much as she could for her children.
She was a fantastic cook! Many parties, including weddings, were hosted by Thelma at her family home on Halifax Street. To this day, her closest family friends still boast of fond memories of those parties, with plenty of laughs, dancing and the best Filipino food ever!
Thelma had a green thumb and took pride in her work in the garden. Tending to her plants and flowers on a sunny afternoon, always brought her great joy! Thelma touched many lives with her kind heart and generosity. She leaves us with a void in our hearts and will be terribly missed.
Her children wish to thank the staff at the Buchanan Lodge for their loving care.
They would also like to especially thank Victoria "Bing" Sanchez for caring for Mom as if she were her own.
