

Tina, Siu Yuk was born in Hong Kong on 24th October 1953 to a large family of seven children. She was the sixth child being the identical twin of her sister Gina. She received her education in Hong Kong. It was love at first sight when she met the man of her life, Patrick, at the young age of 19. They were married in 1977. They continued to live in Hong Kong until immigrating to Canada in 1994.
Tina started her career in the banking industry. She was trained at HSBC and RBC where she gained a solid foundation in planning and organizing. She was a financial planner when she retired from RBC in 2009. To this extent, she used her skills to organize her life and for those around her. She was always dependable to organize family gatherings, dinners and parties ensuring everybody had a good time.
Tina loved life but she also knew how to enjoy life. “Work hard, play hard” was her motto. Tina traveled extensively with Patrick throughout the world, but her favourite was being on cruises. Tina was a great cook and liked experimenting, making all sorts of stuff with her assistant chef Patrick. Not only was she an accomplished cook, but she was equally as good with food presentation. One Chinese New Year - Year of Dragon, she presented a dish to resemble a Dragon made of potato, salmon and kiwi which won the top prize at Church fellowship. One of her specialties was tiramisu which is always request by those who had the good fortune of being entertained by Tina and Patrick. As a person with good taste, Tina was fond of decorating her home with beautiful ideas. Her home is filled with her flower arrangements which was one of her hobbies. She loved little dogs, she had raised two mini-Pomeranians and treated them as her children. Not only did she love her own dogs, but her love also extended to other people’s dogs being like a Godmother to friend’s mini-Pomeranian.
Tina had a caring and generous heart. When her mother and younger brother took ill, Tina was tireless and went to their care home daily to feed them and kept them company.
Tina became a Christian in 1989. She had a strong faith and relationship with GOD. She was positive knowing that GOD was always with her in her life, supporting her in whatever challenges she faced. She was a gifted evangelist speaking with ease and fluency whenever she spoke of Christ.
To all who knew Tina, she will be greatly missed by her sudden departure. Tina was a great woman who left behind her own legacy in GOD’s name. She is survived by her husband Patrick.
