Dear Mom,
I hope you’ve found a beautiful garden in heaven where your "bling" outshines the pearly gates.  You were our OG fashionista, and I loved watching you; you made elegance look easy, even when you were in "strict mama mode."  We definitely learned to move fast when we heard you coming, knowing a belt or wooden spoon wasn't far behind—that discipline made us tough,  and kept us humble.  Thank you for the life lessons, the driving lessons, each time I slide into a tight spot, I hear your voice: "Find the triangle!" 
We all watched as the strict disciplinarian became the world’s most indulgent grandmother.  You made Christmas an epic event  that the kids will remember forever.
These last few years have been a long, hard road, and while it’s so difficult to say goodbye, I am just so grateful that you are finally free from the struggle and no longer in any pain.

My mother, Trinidad Santos Yupangco, lived her life with a devotion that was steady, humble, and deeply rooted in Christ. Her faith in the Catholic Church shaped everything she did. Every day, she prayed the rosary — not out of routine, but out of love. And she made sure we, her children, learned to pray it together as a family. She knew that prayer would be our anchor, our protection, and our bond. Only now do we fully understand the wisdom behind her insistence. What once felt like a routine has become a lifeline, a gift she placed in our hands long before we realized its value.

She lectured us — lovingly, firmly, and often — about faith, unity, respect, and responsibility. And she would always say, “When you grow up, you will realize, see, and experience what I have been telling you.” At the time, we didn’t always understand. But now, standing here without her physical presence, her words ring truer than ever. Everything she taught us makes sense. Her guidance was not just instruction; it was preparation for life.

To me, she is a saint. Not because she was perfect, but because she lived holiness in the quiet, consistent ways that truly matter — through sacrifice, patience, and a heart that never stopped giving.

Her smile could soften any moment. Her laughter filled our home with warmth. And her witty replies — sharp, playful, unforgettable — reminded us that joy is also a form of grace.

She leaves behind a legacy of prayer, unity, and love. She taught us how to stand together, how to trust God, and how to carry ourselves with dignity. Her devotion shaped our family. Her strength held us. Her love will continue to guide us.

Mama, thank you for the prayers you offered for us, the lessons you repeated until we finally understood, and the love you poured into every day of our lives. You will forever be the heart of our family, and your faith will continue to light our path.
