

Trinidad Santos Yupangco, beloved matriarch and devoted community servant, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 92. Born on March 29, 1933, in Cavite, Philippines, she was the last surviving daughter of the late Don Roman R. and Mercedes Santos. Trinidad was predeceased by her loving husband, Genaro T. Yupangco. She leaves behind a legacy of family and compassion, survived by her nine children and their spouses: Sonny and Leonor, Rocky and Maritess, Genaro and Jo-Ann, Carolina and Scott, Ting and Michelle, Tinnette and Dan, Jim, Dominique and Craig, and JB and Sachiko. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Francis, Mike, Nikki, Cara, Peter, Paolo, Marguerite, Ayrton, Ian, Gaby, Jayde, Nathaniel, Damian, Tyler, and Martina; and her great-grandchildren: Raul, Ava, Alex, Aurora, Solyn, Sebastian, and Kylo.
Over the last 30 years of her life in Canada, Trinidad dedicated herself tirelessly to serving others. She volunteered her time and energy to support the homeless and impoverished, those struggling with addiction, and victims of abuse. An active member of the Catholic churches in Metro Vancouver, she embodied faith, kindness, and generosity, touching countless lives through her selfless acts. Trinidad's spirit of giving and unwavering love for her family and community will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.

A Visitation to take place from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm on Monday, February 23rd, 2026 in The Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 1430 West 38th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, followed by Interment at 2:30 pm at Gardens of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery, 15694 32nd Avenue, Surrey, BC.
