Trudie Margaret McLellan

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Trudie McLellan. Born in Vancouver, Trudie graduated from Vancouver Technical Secondary School in 1971. Trudie graduated from U.B.C. in 1976 with a Bachelor of Education Degree. Thereafter, Trudie taught at Killarney Secondary School from 1977 until she retired in 2010. Trudie's students were her children and she loved teaching, mentoring and helping hundreds achieve their potential. Trudie will be dearly missed. Trudie loved socializing with her various circles of friends. Trudie enjoyed reading, movies, live theatre, the B.C. Lions, yoga, colourful artisan jewellery, travelling and photography. Trudie was very skilled in the art of scrapbooking, card-making and needlework receiving praise from all who ever saw her work. Trudie is preceded in death by her parents Vera and Bernard McLellan and Uncle Stanley. She is survived by her sister Shelley (Tony), nieces Catherine, Jennifer, Nicole and Nephew Michael, Aunt Irene, cousin Brian, Uncles Ben and Robert, numerous cousins and relatives across Canada, the United States and Sweden. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19th at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby, BC.
