It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of our beloved Wendy on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the age of 67. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones.
She was a loving mom to her son Ross, who will forever dearly miss her. Wendy was the oldest of five siblings. She is survived by her sisters, Jean, Pat, Kimmy and brother, Ron, her step-mother, May, brother in-laws, Bill and Will and sister-in-law, Anny. She was also a wonderful and fun-loving auntie to her nieces, Capri, Nicole, Cindy, Breanna, Ava, Sarah and Audrey and to her great nephew Eero.
Wendy had worked in the travel industry for many years and also enjoyed the opportunities of travel. She later was involved in the food industry, where it expanded her interest and passion of different foods. You can say, she became somewhat of a “foodie”.
Wendy was passionate when it came to her two favorite sports, tennis and golf. She loved playing whenever she had the chance. She enjoyed professional tournaments whether attending a live event or watching on television. Making time for sport was part of her daily routine. She was truly an enthusiastic player and fan and developed many friendships along the way.
She will always be remembered as caring, optimistic with her happy-go-lucky personality, and always lived her life to the fullest.
