Was promoted to glory at the age of 83, peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully, first in business, then as an officer in The Salvation Army for 51 years. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Florence (Deacon) and all of his six siblings. Bill was the beloved husband of Miriam (McKinley), devoted father of Nancy (David), Judith (Ken) and Catherine (Ian), loving grandfather of Christopher (Charlotte), Gregory (Jessy), Jonathan (Sarah), Diana (Ryan), Mark (Jillian), Michael (Brittany), Julia, John, Robert and Madeline, and proud great-grandfather of Jack, Nathan, Benjamin and Oliver. He will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, on Saturday, July 20th at The Salvation Army, 7195 Cariboo Road, Burnaby (604) 525-7311.
