Mr. Yan Chuen Wong

BURNABY - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yan Chuen (Bill) Wong on March 23, 2019 at the age of 91, after living a very full and productive life. He passed away peacefully at Burnaby Hospital with family at his side. He had spent a pleasant day visiting with various members of his family.

Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Wai Ying (Anna) Wong and their son, Sam Wong (Mary); daughter Marion Yip; daughter Jenny Boyes (Gordon); daughter Glenice Wong (Glen); and son Allan Wong. In addition, he will be loved and remembered by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Yan Chuen (Bill) was born in Chung San, Sek Kee, China on October 4, 1927, and came to Canada as a young man. He lived and worked most of his life in Vancouver to raise his family and made many friends, especially in the grocery and florist business.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Interment and graveside services will follow.
