Yau Ho Shuen (Sun)

Yau Ho Shuen (Sun) sadly passed away on September 5, 2020. She is survived by her children, John, Maling and Gordon; and her two siblings Lin You Mei and Lin Hua Zhao (Calgary). Born in Chungsan, China, Yau Ho came to Canada and married Raymond Sun on December 14, 1975 (Vancouver, BC). She joined her new family’s business (Suburban Market – Main & 57th) and worked as a store clerk until retirement when the store closed in 2003.

She loved spending time in her garden, going for walks around Langara park, saying “Hello” to anyone she passed, and travelling (pre-COVID) on cruise ships to see the world with her family and friends which gave her great memories and experiences. Her generous nature even funded her brother and sister’s family to join her and family, a 10-day cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii in 2018. In 2020, her dementia became more progressive which made it harder for her to travel comfortably; she spent her time at home with 24 hour care and support from her children and caregiver.
