At her request, no service will be held. A small intimate memorial will be conducted by close family members.
Yim Ling immigrated to Canada with her husband from Hong Kong in 1973, and settled in Vancouver, where she raised her family. Later, she moved to Burnaby, where she spent her retirement years.
She enjoyed gardening, where she grew gorgeous dahlias, and a variety of vegetables in the yard. She worked tirelessly to maintain her household, and made personal sacrifices as she devoted wholeheartedly to caring for her family. She was sentimental, and took great pleasure in small trinkets and cherished treasures that she collected as memorabilia. Most of all, she valued family. She will always be remembered for her diligence, humor, and power to sustain her family in spirit and presence.
She is survived by her husband, Wing Yan; sons, David (Pearl) and Peter (Tara); daughters, Winnie (Norm) and Annie (David); 7 grandchildren, Madeline, Isabelle, Elijah, Jane, Ethan, Katelyn and Lauren.
She was preceded in death by her sister Auntie Ngan Siu and cousin Mei Chun, who were also her dear friends and close confidantes.
She will be deeply treasured and held in the hearts of her husband, children, and grandchildren. Always.
