Bernard Kleman

Bernard “Shorty” Kleman, 89, died peacefully at home on January 14, 2013. He was born on October 20, 1923, in Nazareth, Texas where he grew up and graduated High School. Shorty then jointed the Navy and served during WWII.

He married Irene Rickwartz on March 30, 1948, and moved to Amarillo where their son Ron was born a year later.

Bernard was a Caterpillar diesel mechanic at West Texas Equipment for 38 years. After retiring they moved to Burnet to be closer to their son and his family.

Shorty was preceded in death by his son Ron. He is survived by his wife; Irene, daughter-in-law; Linda and grandsons Kyle and Tyler He is also survived by three brothers and two sisters.

The Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 7:00pm at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Burnet. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 18, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Burnet with Father Anthony Alphonse officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet.
