Bettie Fisher

Bettie Theresa Richard Fisher passed away peacefully in her sleep on 09 March 2016 in her home in Leander, Texas surrounded by love. Bettie was born in Beaumont, Texas on 28 June 1930, and was a long time resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and San Angelo, Texas. She has gone to join her sister, Eve Marie (Molly) Bennett, who passed the previous week on 01 March 2016. She is survived by her loving daughters: Jean Marie Fisher, Jennifer Marie Fisher and husband David Stanley, Janice Marie Fisher and husband Ernie Worth, and Jeannine Marie Fisher and husband Doug Edwards; her loving son Clifton Joseph Fisher and wife Karla Fisher; her adoring granddaughters Jennelle Marie Fisher and partner Carolyn Markgraf, and Jamie Marie Fisher; and her great granddaughter Jately Marie Fisher; many nieces and nephews; and many, many fuzzy children and grandchildren.

Bettie was a devout Catholic who loved dancing, bowling, crossword puzzles, cranberry sauce, cream horns and ice from Sonic. She was an avid animal lover and never turned her back on an animal in need. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, 18 March 2016, at the Day Chapel at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 1101 W. New Hope Dr., Cedar Park, Texas 78613. Afterwards, Bettie’s cremains will travel to Richardson, Texas where she will be interned after a memorial with her sister. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Texas Humane Heroes at www.texashumaneheroes.org or the breast cancer charity in Bettie's name.
